Office of Campus Activities

Student Organizations

Organization involvement and leadership is central to the Xavier University of Louisiana experience. Through these experiences, students gain skills such as: managing a project through idea to implementation, facilitating a group, resolving conflicts, developing a marketing strategy and working in teams. Student organizations contribute greatly to the educational, social and cultural enrichment of the university. Organizations can be established to advocate issues and/or concerns for their respective memberships.

Group membership to all student organizations, clubs, and councils must be open to all students regardless of race, creed, color, religion or any disabilities within the Xavier community. Exceptions are noted for honor societies where academic qualifications serve as the additional requirement for entry into honor organizations. The Office of Campus Activities maintains the records of all recognized student organizations.  Xavier’s student organizations are categorized as Academic/Departmental Clubs, Honor Societies, Professional Greek Organizations, Residence Hall Councils, Social Greek Organizations, and Special Interest Organizations.
