Dr. Ann R. Barbre holds the rank of Professor of Pharmacy Administration in the Division of Clinical and Administrative Sciences at Xavier. Dr. Barbre earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at Xavier University, a Master of Science degree in Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin ö Madison and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Care Administration at the University of Mississippi. She maintains licensure as a registered pharmacist in Louisiana and Illinois.
Dr. Barbre has been a member of the College of Pharmacy faculty at Xavier for over 25 years. Her teaching responsibilities have centered on pharmacy management, behavioral pharmacy, professional communications and pharmacoeconomics .Her interests include medication use in the elderly, psychosocial factors associated with health and medicine use, compliance and medical anthropology. Dr. Barbre has also served as the faculty advisor for Kappa Epsilon Pharmacy Fraternity for Women for many years.
