Dr. Johnson earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe, and then went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with ULM and LSU at the Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has received her Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS).
At Xavier University, Dr. Johnson teaches the Gastroenterology section of Pathophysiology and Disease State Management and coordinates an Interprofessional Education Elective with LSU Health Sciences Center. She precepts third and fourth year clinical rotations and pharmacy practice residents at her clinical site, the Medical Intensive Care Unit of Interim Louisiana Hospital in New Orleans.
She is currently a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and Louisiana Society of Health System Pharmacists (LSHP). She also serves on the planning council for the American Diabetes Association/Louisiana Lions Association Camp Victory, a summer camp for children with diabetes.
