Dr. Shandrika Williams is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy in the Division of Clinical & Administrative Sciences. Dr. Williams currently serves as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at NOELA Community Health Center in eastern New Orleans. At this site, Dr. Williams provides disease management services, primarily in the areas of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and asthma and serves as a preceptor to third and fourth year pharmacy students. Dr. Williams is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and a Certified Diabetes Educator.
Dr. Williams obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana, College of Pharmacy in 2008. After obtaining her degree, Dr. Williams completed a Pharmacy Practice residency at Xavier University of Louisiana.
Dr. Williams serves a coordinator of the Pharmacy Practice Laboratory. She currently teaches in the Pharmacy Practice Lecture and Lab courses and Behavioral Pharmacy and Communications.
Dr. Williams’s research interests include diabetes self-management and medication adherence.
