General Information

1. What is the Festival of Scholars?

The Festival of Scholars is a campus wide exhibition of the research done by Xavier students over the academic year and during the summer.

 2. When is the Festival?

The Festival of Scholars is held each spring.  2017 Festival of Scholars is scheduled for April 20-21.

 3. Where?

The event is held on the second floor of the University Center.

 4.  What is the timeline?

The Festival will begin at noon on Thursday April 20 with oral presentations and pizza lunch! The Festival will wrap-up by 4:00pm on Friday, April 21.

 5.  Who can participate?

Any Xavier student can participate. CURGO welcomes exhibits and presentations from local students who currently work with Xavier faculty in outreach or research-based programs.

 Posters

 1.  How can I get my poster printed?

CURGO prints posters for free for students presenting at the festival. All free poster prints must conform to certain criteria (such as size, white-only background, etc.) and requires faculty/mentor approval prior to submission.  CURGO does not offer DUPLICATE printing for errors, so please check carefully before submitting.

 2.  Will poster stands be available?

Double-sided poster stands and pushpins will be provided.

 3.  Is a particular poster board assigned to me, for my specific poster?

Yes.  When you submit your poster in the registration form, you will select a poster session.  

 4. When should I put up my poster?

You can put your poster up as the morning of your poster session, starting at 9am.

 5.  When should I take down my poster?

You should take down your poster at the end of your assigned poster session.  

 Deadline to submit poster print requests: Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

 Registration

 1.  How do I participate?

The FOS registration form is available CURGO website under the Festival of Scholars tab.

 2. Do I need to register again at the Festival?

Yes. When you arrive, you will need to stop by the registration for the program and our registration packet (which includes a special treat for you!)
