Rosalyn Kent is a December 2013 graduate of the Chemistry Department. At Xavier, she performed research with Dr. Florastina Payton-Stewart on a collaborative project with Tulane University focused on the synthesis of capsaicin analogs as anti-cancer agents and was an EDEB (Enhancing Diversity in Environmental Biology) Scholar. She was also the Scientific Research Columnist for the Xavier Herald, and very active in service to the University and the community. Rosalyn is a student member of the American Chemical Society and participated in the Xavier Chemistry Club activities. Rosalyn will spend the summer of 2014 in France as an iREU Scholar performing research at the Institute Pasteur de Lille with Dr. Benoit Deprez. She will then start her graduate studies towards a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Michigan.
