How Does the Program Work?
Xavier students pay Xavier tuition and fees for the semester as they would normally do using their scholarships, financial aid, and financial means. Students will also be required to pay room and board fees for St. Martin DePorres Resident Hall (two residents, private bath), and satisfy the student health insurance requirement. Students at the host institution will pay their institution's tuition and fees. The students are then exchanged between the two institutions. Courses taken at the host institution will transfer to Xavier if the grade of "C" or better is earned. Students are responsible for their travel to and from the institution, materials such as textbooks, and all other personal items that may be required
*Students should make sure that their health insurance policies would cover them at the host institution.
+Grades earned at the host institution do not affect the student's Xavier grade point average.

What students are saying about their experience at Xavier:
"I have a few words regarding my NYU experience. First, I would like to say that the faculty exchange program is an opportunity that no one should pass up. For an entire semester, I was able to live in New York City and take courses at New York University for a fraction of the cost! While in New York, the Academic Achievement Program (AAP) made me feel extremely welcome. With this program, I was able to connect with a variety of great people that I will never forget, and attend remarkable events with phenomenal guests. I strongly encourage students to take advantage of this exchange program during their time at Xavier. It allowed me to grow, academically and mentally, and I know it can do the same for them. I could go on and on about my experience, but why waste your time? Apply for yourself and experience the opportunity of a lifetime."
