Team members – (L-R) Ifeanyi Inor, a P3 student from Nigeria; Tammara Taylor, a P3 student from Universal City TX (Judson High); Elizabeth Barthelemy, a P3 student from Harvey LA; and Liliana Consenza, a P3 student from Terrytown LA (West Jefferson) – presented the winning business plan for the pending FDA Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) for Narcotic Analgesics during a Target Corporation contest conducted at the College of Pharmacy's Health and Wellness Center in Harahan LA. The group shared a $4,000 scholarship.

Members of the XU Tri Beta Biology Honor Society traveled to Fifi Island near Grand Isle LA to participate in a coastal restoration project where they planted more than 1,000 plants to assist in controlling erosion on the important barrier island. Among the participants were: (front row, from lef) Kristal Huggins, Olivia Atalla, Allan Auguillard, LaAisha Elliott and Danielle Foster; (back row) Kordell Hunter, Xavier Readus, Steve Morgan and Freddie Williams.
