Dr. Robert Blake, Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences Professor, measures the absorbance of hemoglobin in intact red blood cells by using a novel spectrophotometer that permits accurate absorbance measurements in turbid suspensions.

Dr. Vladimir Kolesnichenko, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, prepares magnetic colloids containing iron nanoparticles under air-free atmosphere.

Dr. Anderson Sunda Meya, Assistant Professor of Physics, uses a standard calibration sample to prepare the Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) to characterize SiGe quantum dots in tapping mode.  The nanostructures were formed by self-assembly method in an ultra high vacuum Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) chamber.
