The Writing Resource Center (WRC) provides student-centered, collaborative, non-evaluative writing assistance to the Xavier community in a comfortable setting. Students are able to work alone, with tutors, a staff instructor, or their peers on writing assignments during various stages of the writing process. Also, the WRC also works closely with the English Department to provide extra assistance to students in English composition courses. The Writing Resource Center helps students build fundamental writing skills by offering resource materials and weekly workshops. The tutoring, workshops, and resource materials provided by the WRC helps students to become independent, confident, and critical thinkers who enjoy writing. Additionally, the WRC offers thirty minute one-on-one tutoring sessions. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but tutors are available to work with walk-in students.
