Student Health Services Telehealth Visits

Student Health Services is now offering Telehealth and In-Person appointments to students. To ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, all appointments must be scheduled ahead of time.

Please call us at 504-520-7396 to schedule a visit. We are open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, on Friday. We are closed from 1:00pm -2:00pm for lunch and during University holidays.

In an emergency:

If you or someone you know has a medical emergency such as shortness of breath, please call 911 followed by University Police at 504-520-7490

SHS offers the following types of telehealth visits:

• Primary care general
• Sexual and Reproductive Health – counseling and prescriptions

Prior to your appointment

Prior to your appointment, Please complete all required forms and consent by logging into the Patient Portal. Please upload your insurance card via the portal.

Fees

There is no charge for this service; however, if any outside labs or tests are ordered the patient is responsible for any charges incurred.
