Ahna Patterson is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical experience in urgent care, occupational medicine, and child abuse medicine. She has served as a preceptor for physician assistant students while working in the Urgent Care department at Ochsner Medical Center. During her career, she has also served as a clinic manager for 3 years at an on-site occupational health clinic for a manufacturing plant. She has dedicated her time to clinical practice as well as teaching CPR and blood-borne pathogen courses, writing medical articles, coordinating wellness program activities, and serving as a forensic interviewer for child abuse victims.
She has also worked as the Program Coordinator for the New Orleans Children’s Advocacy Center. Mrs. Patterson has earned her Master’s degree from the University of Washington MEDEX Physician Assistant program in Seattle, WA. Additionally, she has a Master’s degree in Forensic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mrs. Patterson graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2005 where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Mrs. Patterson is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
