Bruce France is an artist and teacher originally from New Orleans, LA. After a great deal of continental travel throughout his youth, due to his father’s naval service, he settled down for a while at Louisiana State University where he earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Performance Studies. He has a diverse production history working in all facets of live performance and media production. He is the Executive Director of Mondo Bizarro, a values-based performing arts organization he co-founded in New Orleans in 2002. Mondo Bizarro creates original live performances, produces festivals and digital media projects, and supports the New Orleans artistic and activist communities through the stewarding of its studio, Catapult. He started Bruce France Media in 2007 to explore his interests in photography, videography, and podcasting and to provide those services to others. He has been a part of the Xavier University faculty since 2004.
