Brother Herman Johnson, O.P, is a Dominican friar.    He has lived in New Orleans since birth, currently leaving at St. Anthony of Padua Priory with twelve other friars. He teaches Spanish.  He holds master’s degrees in Spanish, counseling and theology  His doctorate in Spanish is from Columbia University.  All professional credentials pale in comparison to his being a Dominican brother and teaching Spanish at his alma mater.  He loves St. Martin de Porres  (1579 -1619) who was a Peruvian Dominican friar.
