Tyler Barbarin has been an organizer and facilitator of topics of racial justice, leadership, education equity, and reproductive justice. She began in leadership development at Covenant House Washington, facilitating leadership development for youth experiencing homelessness. She has worked professionally in organizing and public policy for the Poverty and Race Research Action Council, National Coalition on School Diversity and Positive Women’s Network in areas ranging from fair housing to education equity to public health. She was a former Young People For Fellow and member of their alumni council as well as serving with the New Orleans Abortion Fund in both a client services and board capacity, and with the National Cathedral Gun Violence Prevention Group.
