Dr. Nguyen is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical and Administrative Sciences. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2015. Upon graduation, he completed a 2-Year Pharmacotherapy Residency at the Idaho State University Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Family Medicine in 2017. He then went to practice as the adult medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Ochsner Baptist Medical Center for 3 years prior to accepting a faculty appointment at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy. He provides both didactic and experiential education for pharmacy students throughout the curriculum.
Dr. Nguyen’s practice site is at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System where he serves as an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. He also maintains credentials as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.
