My name is Penny Conner and I am a native New Orleanian. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience in individual/family counseling, crisis intervention, Life skills, policy planning within schools, mental health community-based programs, and hospitals with diverse populations. I possess great socialization and interpersonal skills in providing a safe and nonjudgmental environment in promoting mental health wellness. I strongly promote advocacy, empowerment, and restoration of individuals and families. I am truly dedicated and passionate about my profession of helping individuals navigate through life with emotional wholeness. I received a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. and master's degree of Social Worker from Southern University of New Orleans. I was instrumental in starting the first in-patient hospice program in the state of Louisiana.
My clinical approaches include the following practices: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness Therapy, Trauma- Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
