Acceptances in 2018-2019

Xavier has been a leader nationally in placing African-American students into medical school, and the
University continues to do well as evidenced by the fact that 44 Xavier students reported acceptances into
medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, podiatry, etc. school (so far) for entry in the fall of
2019. Congratulations to the following students who have reported acceptances to the Premedical Office for
entry in 2019 (updated 4/22/19)…

• Ryane Adams (Clear Brook High, Houston, TX) has been accepted into Temple University and, LSU-New Orleans, and University of Texas-Houston Medical Schools.
• Aizaz Ahmad (Grace King High, Metairie, LA) has been accepted into LSU-Shreveport School of Medicine.
• Hana Alkhafaf (Haynes Academy, Metairie, LA) has been accepted into LSU, University of Detroit Mercy, and Ohio State University Dental Schools.
