For over ten years, Xavier has been a leader nationally in placing African-American students into medical school. And, Xavier continues to do well as evidenced by the fact that 42 Xavier students were accepted into medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, podiatry, etc. school for entry in the fall of 2013. NOTE: According to data made available by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), a total of 108 applicants who attended Xavier submitted applications to allopathic medical schools via the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) for entry in 2013. Of those applicants, 34 were accepted into medical school. The acceptance list above only includes the names of students who granted Premedical Office personnel permission to publicize their information.
