Xavier Graduate Named New Chancellor at Delgado CC

New Orleans LA - Delgado Community College has a new leader with a familiar face. The Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors on Wednesday selected Dr. Larissa Littleton-Steib to become the new chancellor of the New Orleans-based school. She earned both her BA (1994) and MA (1999) degrees from Xavier University of Louisiana.

Officials say her appointment is effective July 1.

Littleton-Steib has served as chancellor of Baton Rouge Community College since 2016. During her tenure there, she has led efforts that have increased student enrollment, improved the college's fiscal health and stability and increased business and industry partnerships. Prior to that, Littleton-Steib served as vice chancellor of workforce development, dean of technical education and other roles at Delgado.

She earned a doctorate in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State.
