Dear Xavier community members,
As we head into this long weekend, I encourage each of you to remain vigilant in adhering to the health and safety protocols of the City of New Orleans. They are in place to protect you and each other.
Masking is more important than ever with CDC now recommending double masking. Maintain six feet of distance between you and others. Wipe surfaces, and wash or sanitize your hands. These measures will keep you safe.
At Xavier, we have been able to control our COVID-19 infection rates because of the good choices you are making daily. Remind each other to maintain these practices this weekend and after.
We all miss the festivities of Mardi Gras season. Let us remember that our attention to health today will allow us to enter the next season when we enjoy, in person, parades, festivals, or homecoming once we defeat this virus as a community, a city, region, and nation.
Have a safe and restful weekend.
