Xavier University of Louisiana and other HBCUs partner with Entergy to Address the Racial Wealth Gap
Xavier University of Louisiana is one of several Historically Black Colleges and Universities, or HBCUs, to join Entergy’s new initiative, The Power of Prosperity, to ensure the success of HBCU students and help them obtain generational wealth. The program is a partnership with Single Stop and Stackwell, which will provide students and their families with free access to financial support.

Through a donation of $700,000 provided, 1,500 freshman and first-year students at Xavier, Dillard University, and Southern University at New Orleans can access The Power of Prosperity initiative free of charge.

“Entergy is committed to fostering the success of our region’s HBCUs. This partnership with Single Stop and Stackwell will help close the racial wealth gap by connecting scholars with the resources to succeed academically and build generational wealth. We are confident their success will positively impact the community we serve, ” said Deanna Rodriguez, president and CEO of Entergy New Orleans.
