Late Registration– Spring 2025 Semester

Thursday, January 9th and Friday, January 10th (Late registration continued online for returning students)

Monday, January 13th - Classes Begin

Last Day to register for Spring 2025 - Late Registration will continue through Wednesday, January 15th.  

A $108.00 Late Fee applies for continuing students through January 10th. Starting Monday, January 13th, all students registering late will be assessed the $108.00 Fee.

 

ALL NEW FRESHMEN AND NEW TRANSFER STUDENTS MUST REGISTER WITH THEIR ADVISORS. Please note that new students will not be subject to the $108 late registration fee before January 10th.

ALL RETURNING FRESHMEN, DECIDING/DECIDING NON-SCIENCE MAJORS, MUSIC MAJORS, AND READMITTED STUDENTS: 

YOU MUST OBTAIN YOUR ALTERNATE PIN # FROM YOUR ADVISOR BEFORE LOGGING INTO BANNER WEB. 

ALL DEGREE STUDENTS MUST contact their advisors BEFORE enrolling in classes. Students will be required to state that an advisor has approved all courses. Proper course selections are ultimately the responsibility of the student. (Please see curriculum requirements in the 2024-2025 University Catalog)

Office of Admissions

The Office of Admissions can be reached at 504-520-7388.

 

Registrar’s Office

The Registrar’s Office can be reached during the registration period at 504-520-6790. We are located at Xavier South Suite 630. The office will be open from 8 am- 4:30 pm.

  • Registration closes at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 10th.  Students who have not paid their tuition bill (assessment) or who have not made satisfactory payment arrangements will be de-registered (dropped from) all of their courses. If a student is not registered for a class, he/she is not allowed to attend that class. De-registered students can begin rescheduling classes beginning Monday, January 13, 2025, at 8:00 am. 
  • The last open period of Late Registration ends on Wednesday, January 15th at 4:00 PM. Students who have not paid their tuition bill (assessment) or made satisfactory payment arrangements will be removed from all their courses and cannot attend classes.

  • Requests for password reset or other problems related to Banner should be sent to helpdesk@xula.edu or you can contact the helpdesk at (504) 520-7446.

 

Office of Fiscal Services

To be fiscally cleared for classes and, if applicable, residence hall living, please complete the following steps:

  • Health Clearance (New Students/Transfers/Readmit ONLY): Submit the required documentation at MedProctor by January 3, 2025.
  • Payment: Pay your entire Spring, 2025 semester balance plus any prior semester balance. OR
  • Installment Payment Plan: Enroll in the Installment Payment Plan via Transact. Details are provided on page 2. You will be fiscally cleared if all installment payments are made by the January 10, 2025 deadline. Subsequent payment requirements are outlined in the payment schedule on page 2.
  • All student account balance payments and payment plan enrollment can be processed through our secure online payment system, Transact, which accepts credit card and personal check payments. To access Transact, go to XULA, log into myXULA, select Banner Web, and click "Tuition, Fees, and Room & Board Payments." Payment plans offered via Transact have been enhanced to include all accepted financial aid as shown on your Student Fee Billing Form.

Please note:

  • External Scholarships: If you have external scholarships not listed in your financial aid award in Banner Web, upload your scholarship letters at Scholarships. Allow up to three business days for the award to update your Student Fee Billing Form.
  • Health Insurance (New Students/Transfers/Readmit ONLY): If covered by family insurance, waive the University's sponsored health insurance through gallagherstudent.com. Save your confirmation number. Without a waiver, you'll be responsible for the $928.00 Health Insurance charge.
  • Zero or Negative Balance: If your Estimated Semester Balance is zero or negative, health-cleared, and prior balance resolved, the Office of Student Accounts will automatically fiscally clear you by January 3, 2025.
  • FERPA Authorization: To allow a third party (parent, guardian, etc.) to access your Student Account information, complete an online FERPA Authorization Form via Banner Web under Manage FERPA Contacts.

To print or update your Student Fee Billing Form (if you've recently accepted financial aid), follow these steps: · Go to http://www.xula.edu
  • Click on My XULA
  • Enter Username and Password
  • Under Tools, select Banner Web and click on Student Self-Service
  • Click on Fee Bill
  • Select a Term, and your “Fiscal Clearance Status” will appear at the top

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships

  • If you have an award offer that has not been accepted: Go to your Banner Web and decide on your award offer. Contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts for fiscal clearance.
  • If your FAFSA is not complete: You will receive an email with an estimated eligibility notification    (estimated award). Contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts.
  • If you have completed your FAFSA and have not been awarded or received an estimated offer notification, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at 504-520-7835.   
  • Any documents requested must be submitted through the student’s personal verification portal.
  • If you have a Parent Plus Loan approval; contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts.
  • If you have questions about scholarships, contact 504-520-5212.
  • Note: If you were offered a scholarship and do not see it on your award, the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts has access to view your scholarship offer.
