Leadership

CMHDRE serves as leadership for the Community Engaged and Outreach Resource (CEOR) for LA CaTS. The CEOR works to ensure the use of core principles of community-based participatory research (CBPR) that foster community engagement with communities to identify mutually beneficial research collaborations. The CEOR organizes 3 Community Advisory Boards in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport. https://www.lacats.org/community/

Xavier University, under the direction of Director, Dr. LaKeisha Williams, leads community engagement activities of the LA-CEAL project. 
LA-CEAL Community Town Hall Series

The Board is comprised of community members and organizational representatives with diverse areas of expertise pertinent to the social determinants of health. The primary purpose of the CAB is to serve in an advisory capacity to CMHDRE to ensure that student and faculty research, community-centered programming, and all other activities best serve GNO and Xavier communities.
