Accreditation Status
The Xavier University of Louisiana Genetic Counseling Program is accredited as a New Program through the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC). Graduates from this program will be eligible for board certification through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
The program application will open in September 2024. We will matriculate our first class in Fall 2025, pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
