Fans and community who participate will be provided with complimentary small radios to listen in as team members are interviewed by media outlets. The Convocation Center is located at 7900 Stroelitz St., New Orleans LA 70125. Media Day is free and open to the public.
This event will feature one-hour sessions with both teams. According to the CFP website, more than 1,000 credentialed media members will cover the event, along with live broadcasts from ESPN and conference networks and activations by social media giants Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Clemson will be interviewed from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by LSU from 10 to 11 a.m. Both teams are currently 14-0. LSU and Clemson will meet at 7:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 13) in the CFP National Championship game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The game will kick off at 7:15 p.m. Clemson defeated Alabama 44-16 in last season's CFP title game at Santa Clara, Calif.
XULA's Convocation Center opened in 2012 and includes all-chairback seating.
