Marian Okon, PhD, MPH
Dr. Marian Okon is a public health specialist with over 10 years of practice, both locally and internationally, in academic, research and healthcare settings. She is a passionate science educator, teaching courses that focus on population health, health data analytics and health information systems to healthcare professionals, school administrators, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Dr. Okon’s research focus is to examine the influence of environmental, socioeconomic factors, and other underlying mechanisms on health outcomes in vulnerable populations and uses evidence-based interventions to remove barriers to care and address health disparities. Her research collaborations cut across various clinical, scientific, and educational networks. As the Director of the M.S. Health Informatics Program and the Health Informatics Practicum Supervisor at XULA, she mentors students from diversified backgrounds and skill levels, helping them transition into the workforce as well as building industry professional networks.
Davis Austria, DNP, MSN, MBA, RN, NI-BC, PMP, CPHQ
Dr. Davis Austria earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Minnesota, his Master of Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Babson College, his Master of Science in Nursing in Informatics from New York University, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Philippines, Manila. He completed postdoctoral training at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he played an integral role in initiatives to modernize care for Veterans and advance health information technology.
Dr. Austria is an accomplished educator and technologist specializing in Healthcare Quality and Informatics. He holds board certifications in nursing informatics and healthcare quality. Dr. Austria combines clinical expertise with robust business acumen. He has extensive experience managing large-scale healthcare projects, mentoring future leaders, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes. His research focuses on reducing clinician documentation burden, promoting value-based care initiatives, and harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) to address healthcare disparities.
Michael Arowolo, PhD, OCE, MIEEE
Dr. Michael Olaolu Arowolo is a distinguished researcher and educator specializing in Computer Science, health informatics, and bioinformatics. With expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data mining, and large language models has driven impactful research and innovative solutions. He is also an Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert, and a member of IEEE. His groundbreaking research unravels complex biological systems through cutting-edge computational techniques, addressing health disparities and promoting inclusivity in healthcare solutions.
Dr. Arowolo's extensive contributions include numerous publications in high-impact journals and conferences on machine learning approaches for disease prediction and data analysis.
