Practicum info

Since the inception of our program, our doctoral students have trained across the New Orleans and Greater New Orleans area at 15 practicum sites, providing an estimated 19,000 direct service clinical hours across their three years of practicum placement settings. Our doctoral students have served the community in university counseling centers, private practices, hospitals, the Veterans administration, trauma centers, and community mental health settings.  They have provided intellectual and psychological testing and individual and group therapies across the lifespan. 

After completing three years of practicum placements in our doctoral program, our students complete a 2000-hour 12 month doctoral internship program. We have had two years of students match to APA accredited internship sites thus far. They have trained or are training at:
