At Xavier University earn your teaching licensure in elementary, middle, secondary, or special education in a 36 – credit hours, in-person program specifically designed for students without prior teaching experience. Connect with dedicated faculty committed to giving you an exceptional amount of personal contact, coaching, support, and supervision enabling you to lead a classroom with confidence and compassion. The program also offers a Curriculum and Instruction specialization in areas of a reading specialist, and special interest general or teacher leader.

Master of Public Health in Health Equity

Xavier’s Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Equity is a 45-credit hour, in-person program for professionals who wish to gain a new understanding of Public Health through the lens of equity. Through this program, you will explore the core beliefs and functions of Public Health and evidence-based science. Based on the current work of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health and the Council on Education for Public Health, this program educates you in the environmental, biological, genetic, behavioral, and psychological factors, and globalization effects related to human health.

Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is a 51 - credit hour program focused on producing professionals who are clinically competent as defined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to respectfully and compassionately address the needs (i.e., prevention, identification, treatment) of individuals across the life span with communicative disorders, differences or those who are at risk of such problems within and across diverse communities, settings, and contexts.

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a new academic program, the Master of Science degree in Health Informatics. The program is offered online and is both a thesis and a non-thesis option. Master of Arts in Counseling

Xavier’s Master of Arts in Counseling program is a 60 – credit hour graduate program accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Elevate your career to the next level of leadership and service as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Choose from two specialization tracks: School Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both of which align with CACREP standards, equipping you to be a knowledgeable, reflective, and ethical clinical mental health counselor or professional school counselor.
