Achieve
The Achieve Dual Enrollment Program provides eligible high school students in the greater New Orleans area with the opportunity to enroll in credit-bearing courses at Xavier University at no cost. Courses are offered in the fall, spring, and summer terms, and students are supported via advising and mentoring by Xavier faculty, staff, and students.
Eligibility Requirements
- Attends school and/or lives in Greater New Orleans area
- Enrolled in 10th*, 11th, or 12th grade
- For summer residential program, students must be at least 16 years of age
- Complete Xavier admissions process
- High School Transcript
- Letter of Recommendation from High School Counselor
- ACT/SAT Scores
*Only academically advanced 10th graders will be considered. Students must be at least 16 years of age to reside on campus during the summer term.
Summer 2025 & Residential Programming
Thanks to the Impact59 grant this summer Achieve will have a residential Program! Our Residential Dual Enrollment Program offers high school students an immersive college experience during Summer 2025, running from June 21 to July 26. Participants will take college-level courses in the morning, earning credit while preparing for the academic demands of higher education. Afternoons are filled with enriching extracurricular activities alongside students in our SOARX program, fostering a vibrant and engaging community. With the support of dedicated staff and a structured residential environment, students will gain valuable academic and social experiences to help them thrive in their future college endeavors. Participant Benefits
Summer Benefits: During the summer, students enjoy an immersive, college-like experience with access to engaging classes, extracurricular activities, and a supportive residential community. Our Achieve Residential Students will have acess to the following benefits:
· 35 nights room and board in a residence hall on Xavier’s campus
· 19 meals per week at Xavier’s cafeteria, plus the occasional meal out
· Access to Xavier’s library, fitness center, and other campus amenities
· A myriad of excursions to exciting destinations around New Orleans
Overall Benefits: Participants in our program gain valuable academic skills, hands-on learning experiences, and personal growth opportunities that prepare them for future success in college and beyond. Regardless of enrolling in the residential summer program all Achieve students are offered the following:

· Small Class Sizes
· Earn College Credits
· Students earn scholarship awards upon program completion.
